The southern part of the Black Forest is a diverse area. Various rivers have its source in this area and have formed countless gorges. The landscape is idyllic and romantic as well as rough and adventurous. First, you pass through Gorge Wutach. The first kilometres are rough and intense, later on nature becomes more idyllic and welcoming. You make your way out of the canyon and climb small ridge where you have wonderful views on the close Lake Schluchsee. Your hike then continues to Wehra Valley. Every leg brings you to new gorges and canyons and these make your hiking week in the Black Forest both challenging and diverse.
