The tour starts in Rudesheim, a very old picturesque winemaking town on the Rhine of about 10,000 people. Tour distance approximately 146 km. Walking along wine grower paths, solitary walking paths and old bridle paths ensure varied walking. There are uncountable castles and fortresses, quaint winegrower villages and fascinating scenic viewpoints.
