Switzerland - Lakes Route from Lake Geneva to Lucerne Bicycle Tour (2022)

SWITZERLAND: Lake Route from Lake Geneva to Lake Zurich 7 days and 6 night's accommodation in either 3*** or 4*** with breakfasts and daily luggage transfer. Cable car ride Vevey – Le Mont Pèlerin plus Boat ride Spiez - Interlaken. Guide book, detailed tour documentation, GPS data available. 24/7 hotline for any problems. Saturday departures on this relatively easy 300-325 km route. Along the 16 lakes between Montreux and Horn, the route is of course smooth and flat – but between the lakes there are some minor passes to cross: Less athletic cyclists are recommended to use an electric bike which is well suited for this route. Athletic cyclists use the touring bikes. The Lakes Route deserves its name, because many lakes touch the Route from its beginning at the Lake Geneva, a lake on the north side of the Alps, shared between Switzerland and France. It is one of the largest lakes in Western Europe and the largest on the course of the Rhone. With the goal of the tour is to reach Lake Zurich which is bent, almost banana-shaped lake. Lake Zurich is framed on the southern side by the Albis and Zimmerberg hills and on the north by the Pfannenstiel chain of hills. At the western end of the lake lies Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city. The Route leads through some of the outstanding touristic regions with great sounding names: Montreux, Gruyères, Gstaad, Interlaken, Lucerne, Einsiedeln and Rapperswil … Whoever completes the Lakes Route, has seen the most beautiful corners of Switzerland.
