Croatia – Pearls of Dalmatia by Bike and Boat Tour (2021)

CROATIA: Pearls of Dalmatia by Bike and Boat Tour 8 days and 7 nights' cabin accommodation in a double/twin cabin with shower/toilet below deck complete with bed linens and towels on a motorized yacht with crew. Includes 4 x full board and 3 x half board and guided cycling tours as described in the itinerary. There are overview maps for the daily tours (on board) and the English-speaking tour guide. Included also is city tour in Split and Dubrovnik. The moderate 200 km cycle tour requires an advanced level of fitness. The tour route will take up to a height of 200- 500 m above sea level and up to 60 km of distance a day taking you through hilly and mountainous terrain and will be completed without any time constraints. Participants will also need to master long and steep climbs. You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or spend time on board the boat, instead of taking a planned cycle tour. Helmet use is mandatory on all cycle tours. You are strongly encouraged to bring your own (well-fitted) helmet. Rental helmets are available in limited numbers (reservation requested). If you would like to experience the region of South Dalmatia thoroughly, not wanting to do without Dubrovnik and its amazing city walls, this sail and cycle trip is an excellent choice. Accompanied by our charming motor yacht, we get to know this sparsely populated part of Croatia. Breathtaking scenic experiences and cultural highlights await you. The highlights of the trip are the town centers of Dubrovnik and Split which are listed as UNESCO’s world heritage sites. We cycle the islands of Mljet (the southernmost and easternmost of the larger Adriatic islands of the Dalmatia region of Croatia. The National Park includes the western part of the island), Lastovo (one of the remotest island in the Adriatic with its beaches, bays, lighthouses, its archipelago, the Nature Park), Korčula ( the birth place of Marco Polo, the island is rich in vineyards, olive groves and small villages, and harbouring a glorious old town, the island of Korčula is the sixth-largest Adriatic island, stretching nearly 47km in length), Hvar (known as a summer resort. Highlights of the port town Hvar include its 13th-century walls, a hilltop fortress and a main square anchored by the Renaissance-era Hvar Cathedral. The island also features beaches such as Dubovica and inland lavender fields) and the island of  Brač (known for the white-pebble beach Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape), a favored windsurfing site outside the resort town of Bol. Supetar, the island's main town, offers a horseshoe-shaped beach and ferries to and from Split. Seaside Pučišća features traditional architecture and an active quarry for the island's famous white limestone). On this tour you will experience the interaction of sea and land, culture and nature close-up and personally. Our proud motor yacht Pape Prvi is your home for an amazing week. The direction of this tour alternates each week.
